the Little Lady Agency

I must confess that I pulled an all-nighter the other day. Being out of college, this is kind of incredulous, especially considering the reason. I simply could not put my book down. It was clever and compelling, and through me for a loop as to whom the heroine would end up with. The book that grasped my attention was the Little Lady Agency and the Prince by Hester Browne. But, to really get the love I experienced for this book, you have to back up to the first book, the Little Lady Agency.

the Little Lady Agency by Hester Browne

What it is?

The series follows Melissa Rommey-Jones on a journey of self-discovery. The first book starts with an erupt job loss that prompts her to take her life into her own hands, and create a world where her curves have a place and polite manner is respected. She starts a Little Lady Agency to help men grow up into proper dating material.

What’s good?

To escape her humdrum life, she creates a new persona, Honey Blennerhesket, a sassy blonde that oozes confidence.

Melissa is atypical in body figure, which gives her character some depth.

She has a gorgeous and sensitive male roommate.

With the creation of Honey, she takes on a sexy new client, and gets paid to go on fancy dates with him, talk about a dream job!

Melissa has a mantra of trying to find three positive things about every situation, which you will subconsciously bring into your life. I love that instead of bending over backwards to make her self fit in; she changes her life to fit her. I think we all could use that self- confidence.

Devouring the escapes of Honey will be a perfect summer escape! More importantly, the book picks up with The Little Lady and the Big Apple, and finally my fav, The Little Lady Agency and the Prince.

Enjoy!

Whatcha gonna get?

Welcome to my blog! I’m here to help you find the most interesting books that are aimed at female readers. I loathe using the word chick-lit, but that’s what sells, and what you may be more accustomed to hearing about. Since I read a lot, I’ll help you discover the books you should bring to the beach, read alone in bed, or switch off Glee to finish.

I’ll give you a quick rundown of the summary, and tell you why it’s worth dedicating time to something you don’t need to plug in. From time to time, I’ll dig up some interesting story tidbits and author ideas.

I hope my love of reading will extend to you!

Enjoy!
